to visit all the missionaries in the Ghana Accra Mission!!!

I will be meeting Elder Thom to i just realized!

Another soundwave ill miss!! (and next year too) but im sure that the 2013 line up will be amazing beyond compare.... :D

Well the work is progressing!

IT IS crazy 6 months on mission already heard 2 area 70, 2 members of the 70 and tomorrow a member of the 12 apostles!!!!  AMAZING ISN'T IT!!!

I do have to admit that i'm also equally excited about Kodah's AGT!!!!
funny that you saw the skipping team there!
They sent me a care package! how cute ay.
but it still hasnt arrived and i think they sent it a christmas time so i hope that the ghana post people didn't get hungry and eat all the goodies the i think were in it... unless they filled it with skipping ropes. which would still be cool!

oh i almost forgot to ask how Wayne is liking his new calling????

My dad is the new sunday school president... i laughed!
He has been complaining about not having a calling! and now he does!
serves him right.

Funny you have to go to YSA dances, bet Blaze loves that.
There is a really annoying banging noise coming from the shop next door which is terrible.

But i will survive...

sorry but news is a bit scarce this morning.

I counted my baptisms for the first 6 months, its at 45 so far, which i realized it pretty good, but its not about the numbers its about the people and i feel so privedledged to have known them, the know them, to have taught them and continue to teach them more and more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Love you lots,,,

So yesterday was fun!
The investigators class sang happy birthday to me!
then we couldnt go on the camp because of a big riot!

It was really bad actually!

the police raided the whole UN camp
they shot 4 people (confirmed) and killed 2 of them
a small girl and an older man
they also arrested 400 of the refugees

Apparently there was supossed to be a change to leadership yesterday and the old leader and the police didn't want the change to happen so they all rallyed together and went in and started shooting!

It all happened while we were at church (and continued till night time)
There are a few news reports on it if you google "buduburam camp shooting 2011"

Pretty crazy but!!!!!

i made lamingtons!
they were wonderful!
Enjoyed them plenty!
Looking forward to hearing all about Kody's audition with AGT!!!

Where is ezrah going on his mission??
he must be dying with antisipaiton at the moment!!!!!
i know i would be!

and also how is bryson doing with his papers?

apples will literally be a 1 hour drive away from me (supossing i dont transfer this or next transfer!)

the internet has dropped out, so im really hoping we dont have light off cause i would lose this whole email!
which would suck!

I feel so old :( but its ok cause next month blaze and i will be old together so it wont be too bad!

Lots of love. ELDER ANDERSON!!!!!

who is offically finished with food from home :(
but is okay with that :)

Hearing 3 Members of the 70 in less than 3 weeks!!!

I sent letters 2 weeks ago and again last week.  So i discovered that there is no post office anywhere near here so i only have to pouch to send my letters by.  And no stamps yet but they could be at the mission home or at the post office i will keep you posted!

That is super cool about that kid from tahiti, what would you know!
he has been out the same time as me!

which means he is at 6 months too!!!!!!!!!
there are a bunch of french speaking missionaries here too. from cote'd'voir and togo.
They are funny their is one named sis Kambrie, she is an albino and they sang O Holy Night in french at the christmas conference!!! it was wonderful/ anyway she had to learn english at the mtc, she didnt know a wink of it before he came!

speaking of the MTC as of next wednesday i will no longer be the lone Aussie in the Ghana Accra Mission, Elder Thom comes out of the MTC.....

so crazy!

Well the mission is doing great!

Anyway, I have had the privilege of hearing 3 Members of the 70 in less than 3 weeks!

1st: Elder Sitati (2nd Councilor Area Presidency)  1st Quorum at the Mission Tour, challenged us to be exactly obedient and instructed on working more in unity with our companions, the members, and also the ward and stake priesthood leaders.

2nd: Elder Cardon (Area President) 2nd Quorum at Buduburam Sacrament Meeting. He spoke about the Saviours Earthly Ministry and also about the Atonement and making it play a part in each of our daily lives.

3rd: Elder Ahaiage (Hi-ar-gee) (Area Seventy) at Buduburam Sacrament Meeting. He spoke about the importance of missionary work and how important member missionary work is, he and his wife are both converts to the church, Sis Ahaige was a Pastor in her church, they both shared their conversion stories, it was an amazing experience!

And on a sad note Elder Evensen had some weird infection on his arm.
A lump near his elbow, that got bigger and bigger and bigger then finally erupted and deposited about enough gunk and pus to fill the hold in a computer mouse where the ball goes (you know those old mouse with the ball inside)

But he is all fine now and nothing to worry about. Although the Dr. thinks it may have been a staff infection!  eeekkkkk
Current is low meaning internet speed droppppppppppps alot.

But Lots of Love

Elder Anderson!!!!
